Man sustains facial injuries following assault at Peel bus stop

POLICE are investigating an unprovoked assault that occurred at a bus stop in Derby Road, Peel, at around 8.45pm on Monday (May 28).

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the assault, during which the male victim sustained facial injuries.

He received hospital treatment but is now back at home.

Police wish to locate a man who is believed to have split up the fight at the bus stop. He is described as being in his 50s, of average build and balding on top with grey coloured hair. He was wearing a black T shirt at the time.

Anyone who may have seen this man or witnessed the assault is asked to contact PC David Hall at Peel Police Station by calling 842208.
