MAN DIES AFTER FIREWALKING

A RAMSEY man who died after walking on a bed of hot coals may have believed that firewalking was aiding his health.

Coroner Michael Moyle has issued a warning about the dangers of firewalking – following the tragic death of a 60-year-old Michael Bruce Crabtree, of Queen's Court, who sustained major burns to both his legs.

Further investigations are to be carried out to ascertain to what extent the burns contributed to his legs.

A firewalking expert who knew Mr Crabree said he understood Mr Crabtree believed firewalking was helping him with health problems.
