An old anchor from Steam Packet vessel The Manxman has been installed at the revamped roundabout at the Four Roads in Port St Mary.

The roundabout, which is the gateway to the Port St Mary and Port Erin, has been redesigned as part of an extensive roadwork scheme in the area, in which Station and Castletown roads were resurfaced.

The anchor from the scrapped boat was chosen as a suitable reflection of the maritime heritage of both places.
