POLICE have announced that missing Peel commissioner Arran Kaighin has been found safe and well.

In a statement issued on the Constabulary’s twitter feed this afternoon (monday), the police confirmed that Mr Kaighin is being treated at Noble’s Hospital for minor injuries.

Retained firefighter Mr Kaighin, 43, a father-of-five, vanished on Thursday afternoon, prompting a large scale search operation by the emergency services.

His family made an emotional appeal for him to come home as it emerged that he had made contact with them by text message.

Police would like to thank the public for their help.
