British Airways and EasyJet to increase their flights to London for the TT.

EasyJet are adding four more round trips on the Gatwick route, which will see two daily flights on the weekends immediately before and after TT week

British Airways will be flying up to five flights daily to and from London City during the festival.

TravelWatch aviation spokesman Terry Liddiard is relieved that British Airways had responded to EasyJet’s decision to withdraw Saturday Gatwick flights during the two peak summer months by providing an extra rotation.

There will now be two Saturday flights by British Airways between the Isle of Man and London City on Saturdays from July 5 through to September 6.

From the end of October there will be a minimum of a daily flight to Gatwick with EasyJet on weekdays.

Mr Liddiard said: ‘It is disappointing to see that over the four months from November there will be 11 Saturdays without any flights to/from Gatwick. There is real concern that this lack of EasyJet flights on a Saturday will impact both on visitors to the island and on residents going on winter holidays, and we hope that the government will be able to persuade them to reconsider this.’

There will however be extra easyJet flights over Christmas and the New Year.
