The 2014 Isle of Man TT festival kicks into life later today (Friday) when the Mountain Road changes to one-way traffic.
The road closed at 9.30am this morning for preparatory work to take place, and when it reopens at 4.30pm it will be one-way for TT fortnight.
The route will return to its normal two-way format on Monday, June 9, when it will again close at 9.30am and re-open at 4.30pm.
The opening practice session gets under way tomorrow (Saturday) evening. Roads will close around the majority of the Mountain Course at 6pm (Mountain Road 5pm), and reopen around around 9.30pm.
The same road closure time will be in place each night next week, Monday to Friday. There will be no practice on Sunday evening (May 25).
If everything goes to schedule, the race programme will begin next Saturday, May 31, and continue on the following Monday, Wednesday and Friday (June, 2, 4, 6) with roads closing at 10am (Mountain Road 9.30am).
The schedule is subject to change, however, and full updates will be available at iomtoday.co.im
