Mountain Road to remain closed until Monday

THE Mountain Road, along with a number of other routes affected by snow throughout this week, will remain closed until at least midday on Monday (January 28).

An update on the Police Twitter feed reveals they have been informed of the decision by the Department of Infrastructure.

The Mountain Road will therefore be out of bounds for motorists over the weekend, as well routes covering Tholt-y-Will, Beinney Phott, Injebreck and Druidale.

A warning is also being issued this evening regarding standing water and localised flooding on roads in a number of areas. DoI workers are attending the worst hit areas.
