The Isle of Man Health and Care Associationis staging its annual general meeting this evening (Monday).
It’s being held at the Manx Legion, Market Hill, in Douglas, and will start at 7.30pm prompt.
Presentations will be made on the activities the charity has been engaged in during its first year of operation and also on a number of planned projects for the coming year.
Acting chairman Steven Dennett explained the first year has been a busy time for the association’s council of management in getting the charity established and promoting its existence and potential services to other charities and the wider public.
Three new members will be elected to the council of management at the AGM, following which there will be an opportunity for a general discussion on topical health and care issues. All are welcome but only members of the association will be able to vote on motions during the formal part of the meeting.
