No nominations have been received at Port Erin Commissioners’ office to fill the vacant seat.
The seat was vacated when commissioner Lorna MacKellar stepped down last month because of personal commitments. Anyone interested in replacing her had to apply by 5pm last Wednesday.
Commissioners’ clerk Jason Roberts said the authority will discuss the matter at its next meeting tomorrow night (Tuesday).
Several authorities are in the process of reducing the size of their boards. These include Castletown, where commissioners decided to reduce their number from nine to seven at the next election.
