THE owner of the derelict Port Erin baths is to unveil plans for the redevelopment of the eyesore site.

Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne told the House of Keys that he and fellow Rushen MHKs met the owner yesterday (Friday) to discuss the plans.

Replying to a question from Juan Watterson (Rushen), he said: ‘It’s a blight in the Port Erin area and the sooner we can get a redevelopment the better. I have been in discussions with the owner over a potential redevelopment. He is proposing to move forward with this in this coming year.’

•Find out more about the plans in next week’s Isle of Man Examiner, in shops from Monday afternoon.
