Pleasure cruise cancelled due to weather
A ROUND-THE-ISLAND cruise, which was due to take place tomorrow, has been cancelled.
Classic pleasure cruiser Balmoral had been due to take passengers around the island.
She has been off service at Oban, Scotland, for the last few days but with the forecast strong winds the owners say it will not now be possible to position her to Douglas in time for the sailing.
A spokesman for Waverley Excursions said; ‘We apologise for the disappointment this will cause for intending passengers, who will naturally be entitled to a full refund on any tickets they have bought. We hope to be able to welcome passengers back on board Balmoral next summer.’
A similar planned trip was cancelled in June for the same reason.
