Have your say

A fight involving three dogs has led police to release an appeal asking for one of the owners to come forward.

The incident happened at around 5pm yesterday evening (Thursday), in the Millennium Oakwood Plantation, Ballafletcher, when a dog was attacked by two dogs described as being small and white with brown patches.

Both dog owners were present and struggled for some time trying to separate the animals. Police say there was a lot of shouting and anyone in the area would have been aware of the commotion.

The male owner of the two dogs left the area without leaving his details.

If you have any information regarding the incident or are the owner of the two dogs, contact police headquarters on 631212.

Dog owners are reminded that, under the Dogs Act 1990, the owner of a dog not properly under control could be liable to a fine not exceeding £2,500 if convicted. Dog owners are requested to keep their dogs under control at all times.
