Police are investigating the ‘unexplained’ death of a man.

Keith Campbell, aged 51, of St Paul’s Square, Ramsey, was found dead by paramedics last night (Wednesday).

The ambulance service was called to his home just before 6.30pm. He was already dead by the time the crew got there.

Police also attended.

The police say they are investigating Mr Campbell’s death on behalf of the Coroner of Inquests.

The inquiry into Mr Campbell’s death is being led by officers from the Criminal Investigation Department, supported by colleagues based at Ramsey police station.

Ramsey-based Sergeant Andy Kneen said: ‘We are treating Keith’s death as “unexplained”. Medical test are ongoing.

‘We are keen to establish his movements during the course of the day of Wednesday.

‘We would like to hear from anyone one who had seen Keith, or who had been in conversation with him on Wednesday.

‘Keith was well known about the town and he leaves an extended family. Please contact us at Ramsey police station on 812234 if you can help.’

Chief Constable Gary Roberts this evening tweeted: ‘Some fine work yesterday evening by officers from [the] northern neighbourhood team at the scene of an unexplained death.’
