Trinity Church is asking for help to make a giant pom pom poppy to mark the centenary of the First World War.

The poppy will require about 400 pom poms.

You can pick up a pom pom pack by going to Trinity Church, Douglas, at the Rosemount entrance, on Fridays between midday and 1.30pm.

A £1 donation is required towards the cost of the wool.

It is hoped the poppy will be completed by Sunday, August 3, in time for a special centenary service of remembrance at 10.30am.
