Prolonged assault

A WOMAN was subjected to a ‘prolonged assault’ in the early hours of the morning in Ramsey.

Police say it happened at around 2am in Parliament Street.

The assault happened on September 1, although details have just been released. It was a Saturday and people would have been making their way home from nights out, said a force spokesman.

Anyone who has any information about the incident should contact Ramsey Police Station on 812234 or police headquarters on 631212.

No further details about the attack have been issued by police.
