Restaurants in charity effort for flood relief

TWO Indian restaurants are staging a charity night in aid of Pakistan flood relief.

The Rasoi in Bay View Road, Port St Mary, and the Curry Lounge in Walpole Avenue, Douglas, are planning two sittings each when all the takings will go to the Pakistan flood appeal.

Both restaurants are owned by businessman Nasir Amanat, who is originally from Karachi.

Diners are urged to book early to ensure they get a place – and do their bit to contribute to this vital relief programme.

Some five million people have been left homeless by the devastating floods, the worst to hit the region for 80 years.

The charity night at the Rasoi in Port St Mary takes place on Monday, September 20, and that at the Curry Lounge is on the following evening (Tuesday, September 21). The sittings will be about 6pm and 8.30pm both nights.

To book, ring the Rasoi on 833366 or the Curry Lounge on 676666.
