A restorative justice programme at Isle of Man Prison has won praise from Royalty.

PrisonWorks, a volunteer-led organisations, recently won the prestigious Robin Corbett Award for Prisoner Rahabilitation for its outstanding work with offenders over the past two years.

HRH The Princess Royal commended the programme during her visit to the island in January.

A letter from Buckingham Palace reads: ‘Her Royal Highness found it interesting to talk to prisoners who had obviously benefited greatly from these inspirational projects.’

Restorative justice involves bringing together those harmed by crime with those responsible, to find a positive way forward.
