Sign up to host a coffee morning for Macmillan

THE Isle of Man is doing its bit to support Macmillan Cancer Support’s biggest annual fundraising event.

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning takes place on Friday, September 28.

It will see a number of coffee mornings and other events held across the British Isles to raise money for the charity.

In addition, you can support Macmillan by popping into the cafe in Marks and Spencer, in Douglas.

Starting earlier this week and running until October 3, the store is donating 10p from cafe sales to the charity.

Everyone who signs up will get a fundraising pack and lots of ideas on how to make their event a success. Ideas for events include a coffee morning on the official event day, a cocktail evening at the weekend or a quiz event.

Macmillan Cancer Support helps improve the lives of people affected by cancer.

It provides medical, emotional, practical and financial support and pushes for a better cancer care system.

Here at Isle of Man Newspapers we will be hosting our own coffee morning.

If you are getting involved and want your event publicised email bev.moore@newsiom.co.im
