Summerland remembered

Waiting for Video...

Ruth McQuillan-Wilson of Northern Ireland was injured as a child in the Summerland fire that claimed 50 lives.

She was one of the people that attended an event opposite the site on Douglas’s Queen’s Promenade to commemorate the 41st anniversary of the tragedy.

A minute’s silence was held followed by the release of 50 white balloons.

It was followed by a concert, Songs for Summerland, at Amber Bar, in aid of Alder Hey Children’s Burns Unit and the Children’s Burns Trust.
