THE Summerland site is likely to be placed on the open market for sale, MHKs were told.
In the House of Keys, David Quirk (Onchan) asked new Minister for Infrastructure David Cretney MHK for a statement on Summerland.
Mr Cretney replied that the Department of Community Culture and Leisure as site owners had been in discussion with his department’s strategic asset management unit ‘with a view to progressing the disposal of this site’.
‘Subject to any further discussion and agreement, it is likely that this site will be placed on the open market for sale.’
Mr Quirk asked if temporary uses for the site could be found pending its sale. Mr Cretney said there had been some temporary use of the site since it became vacant.
