A Colby teenager appeared in court this morning charged with three offences in relation to the death of a 14-year-old girl on March 1.

Andrew James Reeday, of Ballakillowey, entered guilty pleas to permitting someone to drive his car without insurance or a driving licence, and wasting police time.

The 19-year-old admitted letting Craig Ryan Bridgewater drive his car, when an accident on the Switchback Road, near Peel, resulted in the death of Lucia Porter.

The case had been adjourned to enable the prosecution and defence to agree a summary of facts, which has now been agreed.

A probation report will now be prepared and Reeday will appear in court again on September 4 at 2.30pm.

Mr Bridgewater, 18, from Peel, is charged with dangerous driving. He has been bailed until next Thursday, July 31.
