Thieves who stole money and Isle of Man stamps from a unit in Balthane industrial estate are being sought by police.

Police say a large amount of money was taken from the unit overnight between 10.30pm on Monday March 17 and 2am the next day.

People with premises which may be in more isolated areas in the island are being reminded to take basice crime prevention precautions such as removing cash and valuables from the building and making sure doors and windows are properly closed and locked. Simple measures such as security lights, alarms and CCTV are also effective deterrents for would-be thieves.
