Extra buses and trams will be laid on from Douglas to help residents get to singer-songwriter Katherine Crowe’s funeral.
It takes place tomorrow (Tuesday) at All Saints Church, Lonan, at 11.30am, following a private burial.
Public transport bosses say there is limited parking on Church Road so it has increased the capacity of scheduled services in anticipation of the likely demand.
Double deckers will operate the number 3 bus service in the morning. Additional buses and trams will be available if needed.
The service number 3 to Ramsey leaves Douglas Lord Street at 9.45am, 10.15am and 10.45am.
Alight at the Ballacannell estate stop next to Church Road.
Buses return from Lonan at about 12.37pm, 1.07pm and 1.37pm.
Manx Electric Railway trams depart Derby Castle at 9.40am and 10.40am, and passengers should alight at Fairy Cottage. Trams return from Laxey at 12.55pm and 2.25pm.
Husband Andy said: ‘There is no dress code. It’s very important everyone knows that. We want people to be casual and happy.’
