Twenty sheets of lead flashing have been stolen from a building site in Braddan.

They were taken from the site, near Noble’s Hospital, between noon on Saturday and 8am this morning.

A police spokesman said: ‘Those responsible would have to climb over the fencing unless small enough to crawl underneath.

‘A portion of the lead has been cut away from the new building so someone would have been there for some time.

‘Officers would like to speak with anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area, a vehicle or persons stopped for a length of time, or if you have been approached to buy the lead.’

Constable Sarah Corkish is investigating.

To contact her, ring police headquarters on 631212.
