Two people are to appear in court this morning after a police investigation into the importation of heroin into the island.
A 27-year-old man from Liverpool was arrested on Monday for possession with intent to supply heroin and money laundering.
A 38-year-old woman from the island was also arrested for money laundering.
They were later charged.
The police say they seized heroin with an Isle of Man street value of £4,100.
Detective Sergeant Paul Holland said: ‘The “pro-active team” [the branch of the force involved] are dedicated and committed to targeting criminal networks involved in the importation and supply of controlled drugs. Again we see heroin being imported and supplied locally.
‘We will continue to focus on the individuals responsible and deal with them swiftly, this is a nasty and particularly dirty drug that we don’t want on our island.’
