Police are investigating after two cars collided on the Mountain Road.

The incident is alleged to have happened on Tuesday between Guthrie’s Memorial and the Mountain Mile.

At about 8.15am a white high top van, blue Audi and black BMW M3 were heading towards Douglas.

A spokesman said: ‘The police are investigating an allegation that the Audi and BMW have collided, while still behind the white van.

‘It is believed a silver car (of unknown make and model) has been travelling in the opposite direction towards Ramsey.

‘Police need to speak to the drivers of either the white van, silver car or anyone else who may have witnessed anything pertinent that morning.’

No-one was hurt in this incident, and none of the vehicles involved stopped at the scene as a result of the alleged collision.

If anyone has any information contact PC Mark Hempsall at Ramsey police station.

This afternoon (Friday) police reported separate five road accidents in different areas of the island.

There were no serious injuries reported in any of these incidents.
