Visitors spend more when they come to the Isle of Man

Have your say

The government says that visitors spent 5 per cent more in the island in 2012 than in 2011.

The number-crunchers in Government Office say that the visitors spent £103 million while they were here.

Leisure visitors’ expenditure rose by 14 per cent to £47.7 million.

The year before’s figures were boosted by the Commonwealth Youth Games, which the Department of Economic Development, the branch of government that now oversees tourism, says makes 2012’s figures even more impressive.
