THE jury in the trial of Harold Brian Volante, the gymnastics coach accused of indecently assaulting young girls, will commence its third day of deliberations today (Thursday).
Mr Volante denies eight charges of indecently assaulting seven girls aged 10 to 15.
Over the course of the three-week trial the jury heard allegations including that the defendant 'twanged' or undid a number of girls' bras, put his hand inside a girl's top and his thumb inside her shorts and placed a third girl's hand inside his shorts.
The young complainants gave evidence to the trial at the Court of General Gaol Delivery via video link.
Mr Volante spent more than two days in the witness box giving his account of what was alleged to have happened and faced lengthy cross-examination from prosecutor Ian Unsworth.
