Walker rescued from coastal footpath at Maughold

RAMSEY lifeboat and coastguard officers were called out to help paramedics with the rescue of an injured 25-year-old man from the coastal footpath in Maughold this afternoon.

The man was rescued from rocks near the path between Port Mooar and Maughold Head.

In an operation that took three hours, he was then taken into Ramsey harbour, where he was transferred to hospital with a leg injury.
