The Jubilee Clock is now in its new home after being hoisted into position this morning as part of a delicate operation to relocate the cast iron Victorian landmark.
Work to move the clock to it new position, as part of the multimillion-pound Douglas promenades refurbishment, took two days to complete.
The operation began yesterday (Thursday morning) by removing the four clock faces.
Having guarded the Victoria Street entrance to Loch Promenade since 1887, the landmark has been placed on a new plinth just eight metres south of its former home.
Once works are complete, there will be better views of the Jubilee Clock from further along Victoria Street. Pedestrians will also be able to walk safely around the clock and seating will be provided on the new plinth
