Have your say

Police believe youths have broken into a renowned property on Mooragh Promenade, Ramsey.

Officers say that some time between Thursday, June 19, and Wednesday, June 25, ‘Bleak House’, formerly known as The Peveril Hotel, was entered by means of forcing the wire mesh on a rear basement window.

Minor damage was caused to the interior of the building and the front door was left insecure.

A police spokesman said: ‘It is suspected that youths are responsible, and there is concern that if they return they may come to harm as a result of the dilapidated condition of the building.

‘It would be appreciated that any activity in or around the building be reported to Ramsey police station or anonymously through crimestoppers 0800 555111.’
