Well done to Christine school

A WORD of praise for the Christine Wild Theatre School presentation of ‘Curtain Up’ at the Gaiety Theatre.

It lived up to its billing with 200 talented performers of all ages backed up by a superb production team who ensured it all fitted together seamlessly. From the nostalgia of the war years to the futuristic Radio Gaga with Swan Lake, West Side Story, Alice in Wonderland and Beatrix Potter along the way, the infectious enthusiasm shone through and was brought alive with 700 sumptuous costumes and atmospheric effects and staging which saw a snowstorm and pyrotechnic finale. We even had a touching balcony scene from the boxes.

One little starlet (who shall remain nameless) has it all and a showbiz future surely beckons. She gave us an ‘ace’ performance and stole my heart – but what a show!

Well done everybody, and a big thank you.
