The number of people out of work in the island has fallen.

According to figures released today by the Treasury, there were 1,146 unemployed in the island at the end of February.

That’s a fall of 36 over the month.

It’s also lower than it was a year ago. There are 35 fewer out work compared with February last year.

The news comes a day after Barclays announced job losses in the island as we reported yesterday.
