A public meeting has been called to discuss the future of Knockaloe Farm on Tuesday, September 9, at Patrick Community Centre at 7.30pm.
The meeting has been called by Captain of the Parish, Mrs Pat Costain, together with Patrick Commissioners.
Minister for Environment, Food and Agriculture, Richard Ronan, and David Anderson MHK, who represents Glenfaba and whose family farms nearby, will be attending the meeting to answer questions regarding speculation over the farm’s future.
Mrs Costain and the commissioners are appealing for all lease holders to attend.
Last week the Manx Independent revealed that the government is considering selling the former experimental farm, which was also home to thousands of internees during the First World War.
There is concern that a covenant might affect any proposal to sell the land.
