CLW FALCONS transferred their good league form to cup competition with an impressive 10-0 victory over Phoenix A at the National Sports Centre.

victory over LA Saracens A at the NSC. Ollie Webster and Sarah Breen netted hat-tricks while Karmina Kovanda rounded off the scoring with a single strike.

G4S Valkyrs B emerged from a five-goal thriller with Saxons to take their place in the next round.

Bacchas B claimed a 5-0 victory over G4S Valkyrs C to progress in the competition.

Will Wood led the way with a hat-trick and was joined on the scoresheet by Zoe Brown and Niamh Goddard.

Bacchas D emerged victorious from a penalty flick shoot-out to claim victory over Ravens.

The scores ended even at the end of normal time as Tim Leeming netted for the Tromode side to cancel out Grace Smith's earlier goal. Bacchas D took the shoot-out 3-1.

Cammags successfully made it into the second round of the Tuftex competition with a hard fought victory over Bacchas Academy.

Today's Vote

Is it acceptable for the DHSS to ask Tynwald to shore up a £8.5m overspend in its budget, due to increased activity at Noble’s, more patient referrals to the UK, children in care, more unemployment and expensive drugs, reduced NHI receipts?
Yes. If health chiefs have worked out this money needs to be spent then it must be found.
No. Health chiefs should be providing a top quality service without such a large overspend.
I don’t mind this time, the reasons for the overspend appear to stack up.
