ISLE of Man Sports Aid recipient Joshua Green competed for England at international level for the first time over the Easter Weekend
The under-13 three-day event took place in Olve, Belgium, and saw players from 10 different nations in action.

The England squad comprised eight boys and six girls.

Joshua played exceptionally well at singles to beat players from France, Switzerland, Holland, Germany and Scotland to reach the semi-finals without dropping a game.

He won his semi-final against Billy Thao of France 17-14, 9-15, 15-6 before losing to Jovi Nieman of The Netherlands.

To complete the memorable weekend, Joshua also reached the quarter-finals of the mixed doubles and the semi-finals of the boys' doubles.

It is hoped the experience of such a prestigious tournament will stand Joshua in good stead for the forthcoming U13s National Championships to be held in Doncaster on April 9 and 10.
