Team Royal London 360 is staging its popular rider of the month competition for the seventh year in succession.

The competition runs from April to August, with all the winners receiving a commemorative trophy and £50 in cash.

Matthew Draper has been named as the inaugural recipient for the 2012 season.

The talented youngster produced a string of impressive off-island performances during April, winning the prestigious Dolan series overall and taking the silver medal in British Cycling’s North West Region youth circuit race championships.

At home he currently leads the under-14 racing bike class in the Royal London 360 Tuesday night criterium league at the National Sports Centre and, demonstrating his versatility, has consistently been posting sub-26 minute times in the Conister Bank 10 Mile Time Trial League.
