Have your say

The Isle of Man national side have several fixtures over the next few months, culminating in the Men’s first game of the new FA Inter-League Cup campaign.

Steve Burns’ side have three training matches at the end of July and beginning of August ahead of the Quadrangular Tournament in Limerick, Ireland.

The Reds will next be in action on Saturday, July 27 with a friendly versus West Didsbury and Chorlton at the Bowl Stadium in Douglas before travelling away to play Curzon Ashton in Ashton-under-Lyne a week later.

The following day the side will then take on Salford City at their Moor Lane ground in Greater Manchester in their final friendly.

Between Thursday, October 3 and Sunday, Oct 6 the island representative squad will hopefully compete in the aforementioned Quadrangular Tournament in Limerick, although this competition is still to be confirmed.

The Men will then begin their FA Inter League Cup campaign with an away tie against Cumberland in the first round, a tie which needs to be played by Ocotber 19.

The Isle of Man reached the final of the previous competition last year before ultimately falling 2-1 to Jersey in the final at The Bowl so they will be eager to out that behind them and get their next campaign off to a flying start.

In addition to the above fixtures, the island’s under-18 national team will begin their FA County Youth Cup campaign with a home tie against Cumberland (tie to be played by October 12).

Further details on the above fixtures, including finalised dates, will be announced in due course.
