Sunday’s women’s league round-up

CORINTHIANS clamied the latest Ballafletcher bragging rights with a 3-1 win over fierce rivals Douglas Royal in the MBL Women’s League on Sunday.

Leading 1-0 at the break, Sarah Kerford (2) and Amy Speed were on target for the reigning champions. Donna Shimmin netted for this season’s Floodlit Cup winners.

Gymnasium maintained their championship bid with a 6-0 win over DHSOB.

Leading 3-0 at the interval, Leanne Keary (2), Kim Carney (2) Mia Brigantova and Angela Guest scored for the Tromode outfit.

Ramsey defeated Castletown 4-3 to claim a league double over the southerners.

The northerners took an interval lead with Lauren Stoutt (2) and Alannah Hall (2) netting for the Ballacloan outfit. Sarah Denny, Trisha Fleming and Justine Carran scored for the Stadium side.

Peel registered a 1-3 away win over Laxey thanks to goals from Jasmyn Crowe (2) and Kayleigh Greggor. Rhiannon Brew netted direct from a corner for the Miners.
