GYMNASIUM secured their first official Warehouse Fitness Women’s League victory with a 4-2 win over Peel on Sunday afternoon - their only other previous success against Rushen United was expunged following the club’s recent withdrawal from the league).

Leading 3-0 at the break, Zoe Carney (3) and Gill Christian struck for the Tromode outfit, while the western response came via efforts from Katie Meads and Nicola Naden.

DHSOB moved into third place following a 1-8 victory over Laxey. Winning 1-3 at the half-time interval, Hattie Castle (4), Rachael Christian and Helen Cooper struck for the Blackberry Lane outfit, the Miners’ response came via a Ruth Bailey strike.

Corinthians remained top of the league following a 2-0 victory over 10-player Castletown. Lisa Costain struck once in each half to secure the three points for the current champions.

Douglas Royal maintained the pressure with a 9-1 win over Colby. Leading 6-0 at the break, Donna Shimmin (4), Bekki Cole (4) and Kym Hicklin netted for the Whites, while the southerners’ sole reply came from a Ali Gill effort.
