Michael lose to Foxdale, while Marown keep promotion hopes alive with narrow win over Police

MAROWN returned to the top of the JCK Division Two on Tuesday night with a 2-3 win over Police at Springfield Road.

Dave Brew’s side are now four points clear of Union Mills and nine points ahead of third-place Onchan as the race for promotion continues to hot up. Mills and Onchan meet at the Nivison on Thursday evening in a game that could make or break the latter’s hopes of Canada Life Premier League football next season.

Just below the top three, Michael remain in the division’s fourth Paul Henry Gold Cup spot despite losing to near-neighbours Foxdale 1-0 at Billy Goat Park.

Michael now hold a four-point advantage over Douglas Royal who have played a game less.
