Grand Slam winners beat Corinthians in last league game

ST George’s finished their remarkable Grand Slam winning season in fitting fashion on Thursday evening as they beat Corinthians 7-0 in the Canada Life Premier League.

The mid-week clash at Glencrutchery Road also saw Geordies collect the top-flight crown, their fifth in six seasons, adding it to the already won Railway, FA and Hospital Cups.

Geordies’ season has been defined by the goals of Ciaran McNulty and the Golden Boot winner helped himself to a hat-trick against the Whites to take his tally to 48 goals for the league season at a remarkable average of two goals a game.

Also on target for the champions were Chris Bass Jr, Calum Morrissey, Frank Jones and Sam Caine.
