Good entry for triathlon on Sunday

THERE’S a good entry of around 80 competitors for this Sunday’s Microgaming-sponsored Isle of Man Triathlon Championships based at Mooragh Park, Ramsey.

The event, which includes standard and sprint distance races, is likely to see a close contest between Andy Isaac, Andrew Nash, Juan Kinley and Antony Bell-Scott for the main honours. There is also a team race.

The triathlon, which starts at 9.30am, involves an open water in Mooragh Park lake, while the cycle goes out to Bride and Andreas. The run is in and around the park area.

Course maps can be found on the website www.manxtriclub.com

Marshals are required to man the event, please contact Gill Crennell on gcrennell@applebyglobal.com
