IOMA Group Bacchas A maintained their unbeaten start to the Wi-Manx Men’s Premier Division season with a 10-2 victory in their derby match with IOMA Group Bacchas B on Saturday.
Andy Whiting scored four goals for the Bacchas first string, Alex Bell weighing in with two, along with single strikes from Jamie Brown, Gareth Craig, James Wright and Jonny Callow.
Tom Beresford and Richard Le Page hit the consolation goals for Bacchas B.
Paragon Valkyrs A ensured they remain in title contention with a 12-0 victory over Paragon Valkyrs B. Gareth Morris and Vic Ferns scored hat-tricks. Neil Jacobs grabbed two goals, with Russ Miller, Chris Thomas, Sam Quinn and Julian Colley all scoring one goal apiece.
Manx Telecom Vikings A maintained their good run of form with an 8-2 victory over CM Skye Ramsey A. Conor Byrne grabbed the lion’s share of the goals, netting six, with Dave Millward and Jonny Killey rounding off the scoring with a goal apiece.
Thomas Tsitsos and Raj Nandha were the only Ramsey players to find the net.
Celton Manx Castletown A returned to winning ways with victory over Manx Telecom Vikings B. Two goals from Christian Steriopulos and a strike from Sven Lindeque proved enough for Castletown. Ian Perry was the only Vikings player to score.
Wi-Manx Men’s Division One
HQ Harlequins maintained their position at the top of the Men’s Division One with a 4-2 victory over IOMA Group Bacchas C. Goals from Paul Nuttall, Tony Mansell and two from Pete Nuttall proved enough for Harlequins. Bacchas replied through Dave Kneale and a Nick Wallinger own goal.
Manx Telecom Vikings C secured their first points of the season with a 2-2 draw against Fearless Saracens. Aaron Hynes and James Lowey scored for Vikings, with Steve Cottier netting both goals for Saracens.
IOMA Group Bacchas Colts claimed all the points on offer from their match with Celton Manx Castletown B. Goals from John Pearson, Tim Leeming, Richard Weir and a penalty flick from James Harrison proved enough for the Tromode side. Kieran Callister netted a consolation goal for Castletown.
Wi-Manx Women’s Premier Division
Manx Telecom Vikings A ensured their 100 per cent start to the season remains intact with a 4-0 victory over CM Skye Ramsey A. Goals from Zoe and Kim Carney, Louise Slater and Chelsea Bawden proved enough for Vikings.
The points were shared between Celton Manx Castletown A and IOMA Group Bacchas A. Dani Kelly and Kerry Kelly found the net for Castletown, with Sharon Pope and Jo Quine scoring for Bacchas. Paragon Valkyrs A maintained their good run of form with a 5-0 victory over Paragon Valkyrs B. Andrea Kneen led the way for Valkyrs A with two goals, while Imogen Manning, Tamsyn Cleaveley and Bernie Dunn slotted home further goals.
IOMA Group Bacchas B added to their points tally with a 7-2 victory over Celton Manx Castletown B. For Bacchas, Sam Franklin scorerd three, Sosie Cox two, Alice Bowen and Fay Wilcox one apiece. Rebecca Jacobs and Glesni Witt scored for Castletown.
Wi-Manx Women’s Division One
Paragon Valkyrs C maintained their unbeaten record with a 3-2 victory over CM Skye Ramsey B. Valkyrs scored through Kaitlyn Shimmin and two from Hannah Hessleton, while Ramsey replied through Hannah Grubb and Rebecca Jones.
Celton Manx Castletown C claimed an impressive 4-0 victory over IOMA Group Bacchas C. Lauren Stewart led the way for Castletown with a hat-trick and Katie Tinkler added the remaining goal.
HQ Harlequins extended their unbeaten run with a 2-0 victory over Fearless Saracens, the goals coming from Rachel Middleton and Sandra Wrigley.
Manx Telecom Vikings B emerged victorious from their derby game with Manx Telecom Vikings C. Jan Carney, Jess Tarpey and Chelsea Bawden all netted two goals apiece. Daisy McGarrigle was the only player to find the net for the Vikings third string.
