Bacchas win the clash of the titans

THE top of the table clash in the Wi-Manx Mixed Premier Division between arch rivals IOMA Group Bacchas A and Paragon Valkyrs A saw the Tromode side take the advantage in the title race with a 1-0 victory at the NSC on Saturday afternoon.

Sharon Pope scored the only goal of the game to see Bacchas move two points clear at the top of the table.

The points were shared between Celton Manx Celts and CM Skye Ramsey A neither side was able to find the decisive touch in front of goal.

Wi-Manx Mixed Division One

Paragon Valkyrs C returned to winning ways with a 4-1 victory over Celton Manx Cammags. Captain Vic Ferns led the way for Valkyrs, netting a hat-trick, with Mark Moyer adding a single strike. Andy Bentley was the only player to find the net for Cammags.

Fearless Sabres maintained their winning run with victory over HQ Harlequins A. Steve Cottier grabbed two goals, with Stacey Meakin adding a third to seal both points for Sabres. Paul Nuttall was the Harlequins goalscorer.

Manx Telecom Vikings C claimed all the points on offer from their match with IOMA Group Bacchas Colts. Callum Green scored two goals for the victors and was joined on the scoresheet by Cassie Quirk, Dani Kelly and Breesha Foxton. Bacchas replied through Jack Barker and two from John Pearson.

IOMA Group Bacchas C secured a 4-2 victory over Celton Manx Cushags Colts. Josh Riordan, Craig Leece and two from Sean Corlett gave Bacchas the win, while Harry Brindle scored both goals for Cushags.

Wi-Manx Mixed Division Two

CM Skye Ravens maintained their lead at the top of division two with a 7-0 victory over Celton Manx Cosney. Tom Howard and Christina Kermeen netted two apiece, with Hannah Grubb, Finn Cain and John Verall adding single strikes.

Celton Manx Southerners maintained their good run of form when coming from behind to defeat CM Skye Rookies. Dan Stevenson gave Rookies a two-goal lead before goals from Dan Jacobs and Miles Ashworth drew Southerners level. Stevenson completed his hat-trick to restore the lead for Rookies before two goals from Robin Masson sealed the victory for Southerners.

Fearless Sharks secured their first points of the season when coming from 0-3 down to secure a 5-4 victory over IOMA Group Bacchas D.

Two goals each from George Powell and Phil Riley, plus an own goal, nailed the win for Sharks. Bacchas replied through Dave Partington, Louise Franklin and two from Chris Hill.

Manx Telecom Vikings D made it two wins from two with a 2-1 victory over HQ Harlequins B. Sammy Bowden scored both goals for Vikings with Wendy Sharkey replying for Harlequins.

Wi-Manx Mixed Under-16s

CM Skye Rascals maintained their good run of form with a 9-1 victory over Celton Manx Castletown. Monique Lloyd-Davies and Ollie Grice netted hat-tricks with Jan Cain scoring twice and Aaron Bell once. Robin Masson was the only Castletown scorer.
