RECENTLY-crowned Premier Division champions IOMA Group Bacchas A maintained their hopes of a league and cup double with a 2-0 victory over Paragon Valkyrs A in an at times fiesty encounter at QEII on Saturday.

Goals from Kim Carney and Alex Bell were enough to secure Bacchas a second win over rivals Valkyrs in as many weeks.

Manx Telecom Vikings A secured their place in the semi final of the Wi-Manx Mixed Cup with a 1-0 victory over Paragon Valkyrs B.

Zoe Carney scored the only goal of a close game.

Celton Manx Celts ensured their place in the next round with a 4-0 victory over Manx Telecom Vikings B.

Two goals from Steve Ronan and single strikes from Jon Penman and Christian Steriopulos proved enough for Paul Kelly’s Celts side.

CM Skye Ramsey A claimed the scalp of IOMA Group Bacchas B with a 2-1 victory.

Matty Grice and Ali Breen netted for the northerners. Chris Bass was the only Bacchas player to find the net.

Wi-Manx Mixed Plate

HA Harlequins A progressed to the semi-finals of the Wi-Manx Mixed Plate with a penalty flick shoot-out victory over IOMA Group Bacchas C.

Tony Bentley-Roberts led the way for Bacchas with two goals. He was joined on the scoresheet by Craig Leece and Anne Harrison.

Manx Telecom Vikings C secured an impressive 5-0 victory over HQ Harlequins B to advance in the competition.

Michael Moore led the way with a brace while Jess Tarpey, Alex Birch and an own goal made up the rest of Vikings’ tally.

Paragon Valkyrs C maintained their hopes of a league and cup double with a 4-1 victory over Fearless Sabres.

A Mark Moyer double and goals from Neil Jacobs and Vic Ferns proved enough for the westerners.

Andrew Winstanley hit Sabres’ consolation.

Wi-Manx Mixed Division Two

Celton Manx Cosney ended their season with a 4-1 victory over Manx Telecom Vikings D.

A goal from Claire Walker and a hat-trick from Graeme Brown proved enough for Cosney. Sam Tarpey was the only Vikings player to find the net.

Wi-Manx Mixed Under-16s

Celton Manx Castletown secured a 2-1 victory over Manx Telecom Vikings.

Robin Masson and George Powell found the net for Castletown with Daisy McGarrigle replying for Vikings.

The game between CM Skye Rogues and Paragon Valkyrs was abandoned in the second half due to ice forming on the Ramsey Grammar School Astroturf pitch.

Rogues were winning 2-0 at the time thanks to goals from Max Renton.
