IOMA Group Bacchas A maintained their unbeaten record in the Wi-Manx Men’s Premier League with a 6-2 victory over Manx Telecom Vikings A on Saturday.
Alex Bell and Jonny Callow both netted two goals apiece for the Tromode side with Andy Whiting and Karl Moore each scoring once. Alex Birch and Steve Underwood replied for Vikings (fuller report left).
Paragon Valkyrs A ensured they remain in title contention with a 9-2 victory over CM Skye Ramsey A. Gareth Morris led the way for the westerners with a hat-trick, Vic Ferns and Greg Miller both scored two goals each and there were single strikes for Neil Jacobs and Russell Miller. James Aitchison scored both goals for Ramsey.
Celton Manx Castletown A put Paragon Valkyrs B to the sword with a 7-0 win. Paul Kelly was the top scorer for Castletown with three goals.
He was joined on the scoresheet by Steve Ronan with two along with single strikes from Harry Brindle and Christian Steriopulos (fuller report left).
IOMA Group Bacchas B emerged victorious from their match with Manx Telecom Vikings B scoring on 10 occasions while conceding just one. Alex Bell top scored with a hat-trick, Craig Leece and Tom Beresford both netted twice with Jamie Cox, Richard le Page and Chris Bass all scoring once. Ieuan Williams found the net for Vikings.
Wi-Manx Men’s Division One
HQ Harlequins returned to winning ways with victory over IOMA Group Bacchas Colts. Sam Lancaster scored the only goal of a close match.
Celton Manx Castletown B secured a 2-1 victory over CM Skye Ramsey B. Ramsey opened the scoring through Oliver Grice before a short corner conversion by Dave Watson drew the two sides level. Dan Bridle struck to give Castletown the lead and both points.
Fearless Saracens claimed both points on offer from their match with IOMA Group Bacchas C. Steve Cottier grabbed a hat-trick with Phil Riley adding a single strike. Ashley Sandyford-Sykes was the only Bacchas player to find the net.
Manx Telecom Vikings C emerged victorious from their match with Paragon Valkyrs C. Goals from Ian Duggua, Arron Hynes and Nick Collins proved enough for Vikings.
Wi-Manx Women’s Premier Division
Manx Telecom Vikings A took another step towards retaining the Wi-Manx Women’s Premier Division title with a 4-0 victory over IOMA Group Bacchas A.
Two goals from Kim Carney along with strikes from Louise Slater and Sarah Blackman sealed the win.
Celton Manx Castletown A were victorious in their match with Paragon Valkyrs A. Goals from Kerry Kelly and captain Lois Watterson proved enough for Castletown.
CM Skye Ramsey A scored eight goals while conceding just one in their victory over Celton Manx Castletown B. Vicki Garner led the way for the northerners netting on four occasions.
She was joined on the score sheet by Christina Kermeen with two, Julie Chesterton and a Hazel Knowles own goal. Lauren Jones was the only Castletown player to find the net.
IOMA Group Bacchas B added to their points tally with a 3-1 victory over Paragon Valkyrs B. Goals from Sam Franklin, Niamh Goddard and Fay Wilcox proved enough for the Tromode side.
Clara Nathan netted a consolation goal for the westerners.
Wi-Manx Women’s Division One
Paragon Valkyrs C maintained their unbeaten record with a 5-0 victory over Fearless Saracens. Hannah Hessleton led the way for Valkyrs with two goals. She was joined on the score sheet by Tracey Mooney, Rebecca Tulley and Issy Kneale.
Celton Manx Castletown C were 3-1 victors over Manx Telecom Vikings B. Goals from Lauren Stewart, Sara Holt and Aalish Bridson proved enough for Castletown. Sammy Bowden was the only Vikings player to find the net
CM Skye Ramsey B put IOMA Group Bacchas C to the sword netting 10 goals and conceding two. Hannah Grubb grabbed a hat trick, there were braces for Collette Gambell, and Gail Corrin along with single strikes for Amie Shute, Monique Lloyd-Davies and Georgia Sullivan. Sophie Hudson scored both Bacchas goals.
Wi-Manx Mixed Under-16s
IOMA Group Bacchas A got their season off to a winning start with a 3-1 victory over CM Skye Rogues and Rascals.
Goals from Freya Duchars, Patrick Cox and James Harrison proved enough for the Tromode side. Sam Robertson hit the northerners’ consolation.
HQ Harlequins were narrow victors over Celton Manx Castletown thanks to goals from Sam Lancaster, Elliot Henson (2) and Ben Hardy. Castletown replied through Robin Masson with two and a goal from Rebecca Lamb.
