Bacchas end Falcons' unbeaten record in mixed hockey

ON A day when several games succumbed to the weather, Bacchas A bounced back from the previous weekend's defeat to claim victory over Falcons A, and in doing so end Neil Crowe's side's unbeaten record.

The Falcons goals came courtesy of a brace from Kim Carney and a single strike from all-round sportswoman Karen Faragher.

Bacchas B secured their first points of the season with a 4-1 victory over Phoenix A. Chris Evans led the way for the Tromode side with a brace, joined on the scoresheet by Richard le Page and Eric Critchley. Jane Ryder grabbed Phoenix's only goal.
