Entertaining tie expected at Vagas

Have your say

SURE-SPONSORED Vagabonds welcome old friends Oswestry to the island this Saturday in what promises to be an open running game.

Vagabonds and Oswestry have had some high scoring games this season already in South Lancashire and Cheshire Division Two and hopefully this week will prove no different.

The Manx outfit will be happy with their second-half performance last weekend although at the same time reeling with their first-half display.

In the set-piece Luke Purdy, Lee Brooks and old Vagabonds stalwart Kevin Birchall controlled the scrum and provided good front-foot ball for the likes of Aidan O’Shea and Ross McCulloch to run Wallasey ragged last weekend.

This Saturday O’Shea is unavailable so Jonny Beckley moves out from scrum-half to stand-off and Leigh Kennaugh slots back in.

If Vagabonds could only start a game the way they have been finishing then someone this season would be in for a long afternoon. The Ballafletcher faithful will be hoping it is this coming Saturday. Kick off for this match is at 2.30pm.
