Last away game for Vagabonds

Have your say

SURE-SPONSORED Vagabonds travel off island this weekend for the final away match of their South Lancashire/Chehsire Division Two season against struggling Ellesmere Port.

Already condemned to relegation this season the home side will be playing for pride and looking to turn over one of the division’s top sides.

Vagas will be travelling in good spirits after the last outing where they defeated local rivals Douglas. Akkie Van Den Berg also looks to be back to his best after missing six weeks through injury and with the backline looking dangerous they will be hoping to see Berg powering over the gain line.

Skipper Leigh Kennaugh is unable to travel so it is likely that Jonny Beckley will move in one from stand-off to scrum-half with Ryan Windle slotting into the number 10 shirt.

Matty Williams may also come into contention at scrum-half after some impressive displays in the Manx league in his new position.

Mark McGreal will also be aiming to make his first start in the backline after recovering from a ankle injury.

The Manx outfit will be aiming to finish the away legs of the season on a high and return home with the win firmly in the bag.
